If you are going to Cuba, book with E&B Birding, owned by husband wife team Ernesto Reyes Mouriño and Tania Piñeiro Cordero. They will find your target birds and show you the beauty and culture of Cuba. We booked a private 12-day birding tour for four this past February, and we were rewarded with both Ernesto's and Tania's birding skills, their excellent customer service, and the comfortable places they chose for accommodations and meals. We were lucky to get both Ernesto and Tania for this trip, as during the busy season, they guide separately. To have either as guide would be fantastic! While our primary goal was to discover the birds of Cuba, we also appreciated the education and cultural immersion that Ernesto and Tania shared. We ended up missing our first birding tour day due to problems with our flight, however Ernesto and Tania were very flexible. They still delivered all the target birds for that missed day. After 11 days of birding we totaled 149 species, including all of the expected endemics. A highlight of the trip was visiting their personal garden, where they provided bird-friendly habitat using native plants and water. The property was also surrounded by natural habitat. We had excellent looks of many resident and migratory birds.
